Dublin is an ancient city founded by the Vikings more than 1,000 years ago. Today, it is a vibrant city with more than one million inhabitants. It is famous for its friendliness, beautiful Georgian architecture, literary history, pubs and nightlife.
With a record of 20,000 runners in 2018, Dublin now hosts Europe’s fourth largest marathon. The 40th running of the event, set for Sunday October 27, sold out over ten months in advance of this year’s event, the ever increasing demand once again reflecting the growth in marathon running as a mass participation sport. The 40th Anniversary of the race clearly added to the attraction too. Come enjoy the ‘luck of the Irish’ this coming October!
