Chief Runner’s Top Ski Spots
In the winter, skiing is my favorite exercise and I have been on some pretty incredible mountains but these are my favorite places to point them down. Maybe I’ll see you on the slopes

The back bowls of Vail "Sunup" and "Sundown" can't be beat for beauty, challenge and great snow if you get there early.
Snowmass during the week when the crowds don't exist is like having a mountain to yourself. Endless terrain and some good tree skiing.
The far left side of Deer Valley - the "Bald Mountain" area is challenging, bumpy and steep. And the lifts are always empty as a result.
All Over ALTA - The "skiers" mountain. Best skiers I see on any mountain and for good reason - lots of black and double black diamonds!
